I have a goddess friend, Fernanda Lima. More than beauty, a person who is a 100% made of good. She models, hosts and does it all. As for me, I was a beginner as a photographer, and since we were always together one day she approached me and said: "So I'm a model and you are a photographer, why don't we make something out of it?" I always loved to tease so I answered: "Only if we shoot in a slum!" I thought to myself, this muse has done all kinds of shoots with the best photographers in the world, what would be the worth of another photoshoot?

Only if we transgress!

As I had imagined, she jumped into the idea and we embarked immediately on my trip. We started planning, and decided to go the Mario Testino's party, in Rio de Janeiro, accompanied by Cande Salles and one of the myths of Brazilian Popular Music, Caetano Veloso. At this party I met Seu Jorge who would later become my husband for 13 years and father of my daughters. He was a beautiful black, talented man, who exuded charm and sex appeal. I made the immediate connection and I had no doubt that he would be the man for the job. So I called him to star in my photo shoot project with my beautiful friend, Fernanda, in the slums. He agreed right way and suggested that "Morro da Mangueira" would be the perfect stage for this project.

I freaked out because I always wanted to visit the slum Morro da Mangueira, I loved all the stories about It and the music made there, with all my heart since I was a kid, and to shoot there was a dream coming true. I was not sure what we would do, but I was in love with pornochanchada (Genre of sexploitation films produced in Brazil that was popular in the 1970s and early 1980s) at the time and could not take the film "Dama da Lotação" out of my head. I brought them all together, Fernanda, Seu Jorge, Morro da Mangueira, Pornochanchada ... .I made up my mind and shot a fotonovela for Playboy Magazine and soon enough "A Dama do barracão" was born, the first fotonovela published by Playboy magazine written by Nirlando Beirão. It was an amazing experience!
